ComSpec environment variable returns the full path to the command processor; on Windows NT based operating systems this is cmd.exe. [1]
echo %ComSpec% C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe
Default value
The default value of ComSpec environment variable is C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe.
